Nickel Brook Releases a Cucumber-Lime Gose, Ceres
BURLINGTON, ON – July 20, 2016 – Nickel Brook Brewing Co. announced today the next beer to come from the Burlington Funk Lab: ‘Ceres,’ a Cucumber-Lime Gose. Conceived as a tart and refreshing beer, this is a new twist on the classic German style. Brewed with cucumber, lime juice, fresh lime zest, coriander and a hint of Himalayan sea salt, this is a true hot-weather beer.
Nickel Brook co-founder John Romano returned from this year’s Craft Brewer’s Conference inspired to brew some vegetable beers, and he’s thrilled with what the team has come up with so far. “I love the play of sour, salty and fruity flavours in this beer,” says brewer Cam Gillstrom. “It’s a really unique, refreshing beer- perfect to beat the heat of the summer.”
Named for the Roman goddess of agriculture and grains, Ceres will be available in 375ml bottles for a limited time at select bars across Ontario starting July 18th, and will go on sale at the Burlington Bottle Shop on Friday July 22nd . It will also be featured on tap at the new Nickel Brook & Collective Arts Beer Garden at 207 Burlington Street in Hamilton, starting Thursday July 21st.
Details of licensees pouring Ceres will be available on Nickel Brook’s social media feeds.
